About the Event
BOWS overnight camps are not just your boring old summer camp experience. Campers are immersed in a 90 acre environment backed up to Wildcat Canyon that includes a farm and garden, archery ranges, a blacksmithing shop, and miles of trails to explore. Each student will learn about "village mentality" and understand that when we work together we can accomplish great things. We cook together, we clean together, we craft together, we build fires, learn knife safety and carving, survival skills, as well as have the opportunity to join in several of the other activities happening on the property that day for day camps. We encourage them to work with the younger students, help out instructors, and be creative... express their ideas of what stewardship of land looks like. Students sleep in 16 foot bell tents with open doors for air circulation so they don't have to wear masks at night. All overnight campers must show proof of vaccination and pass a 15 minute rapid test upon arrival. Students must pack a sack lunch for their first day. You can check out our packing list in the Guide to Overnight Camp section of our Summer Camps tab.
