About the Event

What can you tell from a single stray hair picked from a blackberry thorn? What are the birds telling us about the forest? What could have caused this sudden change in an animals footsteps? What does the architecture of a landscape tell us about the animals that live there? Animal tracking is an ancient and important practice somewhere between art, science, and magic. The ability to read and interpret animal sign is seen in cultures across the planet and takes generations to hone... so you might as well get started. In this class students learn the foundational techniques and daily practices used to fine tune your wilderness awareness and perception in animal tracking. Two nights camping at one of our incredible educational campsites all around CA. Meals provided.
